Hey Frank!, a slide hammer is used for body work..it is basically a hammer on a slide..but dont worry, just drill a hole through this cover..insert a sheet metal screw of proper size and then yank it out with pliers. And the plug; well I dunno how to put it any other way than it is shaped like a button turned inside out(concave) and about that size...
